SRX26110302: Metagenome from agricultural soils under Managed Aquifer Recharge
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina NovaSeq 6000) run: 49.9M spots, 15.1G bases, 4.6Gb downloads

Design: DNA was extracted from the soil samples using the DNeasy Powersoil kits following the manufacturers instructions (Qiagen, CA, USA) and sequenced using the NovaSeq Illumina platform with 151 bp paired-end reads in the DNA Technologies Sequencing Core of the Genome Center at UC Davis.

Study: Metagenomes and Metagenome-Assembled genomes from agricultural soils under Managed Aquifer Recharge
show Abstracthide Abstract
Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) systems play a vital role in replenishing groundwater aquifers, yet the functional diversity of soil microbiomes at varying depths in agricultural soils used for MAR remains largely unexplored. To investigate this, metagenomics and Metagenome-Assembled Genomes (MAGs), was employed to examine the soil microbial communities and their functional potential. In a field experiment conducted in a California vineyard, soil DNA was sequenced both before and after MAR water application, enabling a comprehensive analysis of microbial diversity across different soil depths.
